Word has spread that Jane’s Addiction will be honored at the NME Awards in America and that Jane’s will perform at the ceremony which is to be held on April 23 at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles. Another reunion? Some fans may grimace. This reunion is nothing without Eric say many. Well the fans have finally gotten what they wanted. Today Eric Avery announced on his blog that he will perform with Jane’s at the awards show. There wasn’t even a Jane’s Addiction category for news on this site because Jane’s was dead, or just in a coma, until now. This is very exciting news indeed and somebody better record this historic event.

In the Pictures section I’ve had a category called “Misc. - With Fans” and for the longest time I guess no one has noticed this. Probably because it’s empty. I was hoping people would share their pics without me having to solicit but that’s not working so now I’m asking. Camp Freddy will be playing every Thursday night in May at the one and only Roxy in Los Angeles. Each night will begin at 8pm for $20.

Camp Freddy to play at Give Me Shelter, a benefit for The Teen Project, along with The Section Quartet and Linda Perry. The Teen Project is the love child of Lauri Burns. A product of the system, she lived in 24 different homes in the first five years after leaving the system. Now a successful business woman and foster mom, Lauri is unwavering in her mission to ensure that foster teens have all the opportunities that normal teens have. The Teen Project’s mission is to provide our homeless foster youth with shelter and a life sustaining education.
