It probably won’t be with The Panic Channel. It has been awhile since I’ve posted a news item here but if you read Dave’s blog over at 6767.com you will know that Chris Chaney dropped out as bassist and they recruited Siggy Sjursen (Powerman 5000) in his place. Now singer Steve Isaacs is moving to New York, which leaves the members geographically displaced and the band on hiatus. But Dave would like for the LA 3 to continue making music together. He is also thinking of doing a follow up album to his solo record “Trust No One”.
In the meantime, you can catch Dave’s internet tv show that is finally coming into fruition. He had originally wanted to buy a loft (which he did) and create a digital Warhol-esque factory. (Essentially Spread Entertainment to be finally realized.) The show was to be broadcast from the loft. Then he switched the idea to filming it at The Dragonfly venue. The show debuts on May 17 at 5pm PST via ManiaTV and Dave’s section on the site is: www.maniatv.com/TV/SpreadEntertainment.
Also on May 17, Dave and Stephen will be appearing at the Dimebag’s Blacktooth Bash (Dimebag Darrell Art Tribute Auction to benefit the Little Kids Rock Foundation) at the House of Blues in Hollywood. Jamey from Hatebreed is hosting and other performers include Vinnie Paul, Scott Ian, John 5, and Ace Frehely. It’s $33 for those who are 18+ and show begins at 8pm.
