Dave has posted that Jane’s Addiction will be playing again, Thursday, November 20, 2008 at El Cid. Could it be true? The El Cid? The flamenco dinner show place? Hardly a place for a concert and though I didn’t go to the previous show which was a very small venue so I can’t compare for certain, but growing up in LA and going to El Cid, it can’t possibly be any bigger. But what I do know for certain is this: the hardcore fans will once again trek out at the chance of getting inside to experience Jane’s reunited with the members that made the music so very special. Since tickets are not available in advance again, expect people lining up early and disappointment when not everyone gets in. Doors open at 10pm. Tickets are $9 at the door.

I haven’t been posting the news as often as I should, mostly because the only thing to report has been Dave hosting parties, exclusive Camp Freddy shows where the public cannot attend, and the Dave and DJ Skribble mashup shows. If these sort of events are of interest, I figured you would have ready about them from Dave’s site. I did catch a bit of tv the other day where they mentioned Dave and I should have posted it here, but I’ve been more hungry for music news. However, now there’s some big news to post and it is music related.

Jane’s Addiction is playing another exclusive show in Los Angeles. The band is playing on October 23rd at La Cita Bar. The venue holds 100 and tickets are not available. Doors at 10pm.

Word has spread that Jane’s Addiction will be honored at the NME Awards in America and that Jane’s will perform at the ceremony which is to be held on April 23 at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles. Another reunion? Some fans may grimace. This reunion is nothing without Eric say many. Well the fans have finally gotten what they wanted. Today Eric Avery announced on his blog that he will perform with Jane’s at the awards show. There wasn’t even a Jane’s Addiction category for news on this site because Jane’s was dead, or just in a coma, until now. This is very exciting news indeed and somebody better record this historic event.

In the Pictures section I’ve had a category called “Misc. - With Fans” and for the longest time I guess no one has noticed this. Probably because it’s empty. I was hoping people would share their pics without me having to solicit but that’s not working so now I’m asking. Camp Freddy will be playing every Thursday night in May at the one and only Roxy in Los Angeles. Each night will begin at 8pm for $20.
